Este Anuario 2019 que ahora ve la luz, querido lector, es el resultado de la trayectoria de seis años dibujada por EL CORREO DEL GOLFO, el único periódico en español de Oriente Medio, editado en Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU). Es el primero, pero queremos que vengan otros muchos en los que se aborden temas que a diario se recogen en www.elcorreo.ae, la edición digital de EL CORREO DE GOLFO, que cuenta con miles de lectores no sólo en Emiratos Árabes y la región sino también en otras partes del mundo como Hispanoamérica o España. A lo que hay que unir el impreso, que llega a cientos de puntos, fundamentalmente de Abu Dhabi y Dubai.

Es la huella que está dejando un periódico dedicado en cuerpo y alma a subrayar la presencia de la comunidad hispanoparlante en la zona. Por fortuna, este proyecto editorial encontró en su camino a las personas adecuadas para su desarrollo. la principal el español Arturo Manso. Él, con una visión romántica del proyecto, es el artífice del milagro. Su respaldo ha resultado determinante en numerosos frentes, todos esenciales. Sin Arturo Manso, y lo escribo así de claro, EL CORREO DEL GOLFO habría tenido corta vida. Y la comunidad hispanoparlante se habría quedado sin un instrumento que tanta visibilidad le está dando en múltiples facetas hasta hace poco ignotas. A él le doy las gracias. Y, por supuesto, a Marta Pérez y a Amelia Cruzado, al pie del cañón de forma permanente.
La región del Golfo es una tierra de oportunidades. A la vista queda en las más de cien páginas que siguen, donde se resaltan numerosos éxitos que deben animar a los interesados en este mercado a dar el salto definitivo. Ideas, ganas de trabajar y talento son los principales ingredientes de la receta. Aquí nos vemos.

The 2019 Yearbook that you have in your hands, dear reader, is the result of a six-year path followed by EL CORREO DEL GOLFO, the only newspaper in Spanish in the Middle East and edited in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This is our first Yearbook, but we want many others in the future where we can address topics that are published daily at www.elcorreo.ae , the digital edition of EL CORREO DE GOLFO, which has thousands of readers not only in the United Arab Emirates and the region, but also in other parts of the world, such as the Hispanic American countries or Spain. To this we must add the printed version, which is available at distribution points located mainly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This is the footprint of a newspaper that is dedicating body and soul to highlight the presence of the Spanish-speaking community in the area. Fortunately, this editorial project encountered the right people for its development. Among them, Spaniard Arturo Manso was outstanding. He, with a romantic vision of the project, is the architect of this miracle. His support has been decisive on many fronts, all of them essential. Without Arturo Manso, and I state it that clearly, EL CORREO DEL GOLFO would have had short life. Moreover, the Hispanic community would have been left without an instrument that is making it so visible in multiple dimensions that were until recently unknown. I thank him. And of course, I thank Marta Pérez and Amelia Cruzado, who have been permanently on the frontline.
